RUN
alright 4.5 mi 00:54 12:04 pace
Ran the lake. Boring. Legs felt heavy, even after a full mile walking warm-up on treadmill. Added an extra 1.5 around lake and downtown at the end. Much more interesting. Wore Zensah sleeves today... read more

Great job! I get bored of the lake too, so I venture down Central to Thorton Park and run around that Lake too, but it's even shorter than Lake Eola. Can't wait for the Turkey Trok! Oh, and I really need to get me some of these sleeves. Maybe I'll pick up some at the Expo on Sat. I'm sure trying that on race day won't be a bad thing lol

Hey! Saw your message this a.m. Was thkg about your question while I was running today. My plan for the Turkey Trot: I'd love to run negative splits, but we'll see. Ran 3/1 intervals today. A little much for me. Will plan for 2/:30 Thursday. Will DEFINITELY do walking warm-up BEFORE the race this time.. Ha Ha! :) The sleeves are awesome(!). Text me when you guys get to the race site Thurs a.m.? We'll be early so I can warm up - seriously. Maybe you can pace me w/ your trusty Garmin?

I no longer have my Garmin :( It broke and I opted to go without :) But I have a gymboss for the intervals and an old-fashion stopwatch I can use to record manual splits. Depending on the weather, I can run with my iphone too. I usually run 2/1 intervals, but 2/:30 might work. I'm usually pretty good at negative splits. What's your goal time? How early are you planning to get there Thursday? I hope to get there early too so I can do a warm up run. Oh, where did you get the sleeves?

i was wondering about the running with purpose in 2010 group you started,do we just write a check to our favorite charity at the end of the year based on miles run/walked,or is there a way to get others to give?

Anyone interested in the Women's Half in St. Pete, FL Nov 21st?? Let's get a bloggy/running group together and make a weekend of it!

Very nice race. That was my first half marathon last year. It would be great to get a group together to go. St. Pete is beautiful!

Yay! Okay, we've got our local buddies on board... Now, to encourage our out of town friends to join us. :) Look for a post on the Turtles blog Sunday, with links and reasons (Lake County gals, you are part of MY reasons!) to do this race. Yes, the bling is super-cool (ha ha!), AND we've got "7" months to get ready for it! Janna, s-e-v-e-n months... we'll send a babysitter OR bring them to FL! :) We'd love for you to join us!

I too want to run in every state. Being a 50-state marathoner would be awesome, but I'll settle for any race or run really.

Yep - not sure that every state will be a 'race' but definitely to run in every state!
