Besieged with another round of the creeping crud, which ironically came on fast & furious after a great lunch date w/ two blogging/running buddies last Friday. They are healthy, which is good, since they ran the "Run w/ Donna Half" in Jax... read more

DPH is in jeopardy at this time... this is my first 'public announcement' of that sad fact. Dr. says it's less than 50/50 at best, but unlikely. She happens to be a runner, too, and understands what's involved - training, racing, etc... Not looking too good at this point. I'm trying to stay positive, whatever that is. More details to follow on the Turtles blog....

Hoping to do a recovery run this evening... but knee isn't really cooperating. May lay low after Sunday's (first-ever) 13. Being very conservative in the final two 1/2 weeks.

Better to rest so you recover completely!! Good plan to be conservative with the knee!

Good run... COLD! Forgot my knee braces, so I REALLY had to take it easy. Walked the first 2 miles to warm up. Ran 12:15 - 12:30 miles for the next 4, then slowed down for the remaining 5, with intermittent walking thrown in to preserve the knees. N... read more
