My first Garmin-less run in a very long time. Or rather, my Garmin was on but covered up. I kept catching myself looking down and remembering I was running by feel today. Today was a recovery run so I ran easy and came in right where I guessed I was. I am not a Garmin-less convert, I hated it. :)

    I have a hard time not running with my Garmin....unless it's the dreadmill, and even with that, I will sometimes have it on to watch HR. Good run!

    Funny!! I am the same way.. I often would do recovery runs with friends at their pace, helped me slow down without looking at my Garmin.

    I didn't run with it for about 5 months but recently started wearing it again on some runs. If I am not sure the exact route I'm going to run, I wear it, so I'm sure I get in all the miles I need to do. If I'm doing one of my usual routes, I just use a watch to time the whole thing. And I just started wearing the Garmin again for tempo/pace runs, so I can see my splits.

    Super job! I love the garmin, but your post reminds me there are times it is best to go without.
