well then i am a big wimp, cause i have an industrial strength high velocity fan in front of me when i ride my trainer..i needed it on a few 100 mile rides and a 112 mile ride..i was a wimp all summer long as I did most of my Ironman bike training indoors...it worked for flat terrain training for the pancake flat course in Panama City Beach....,,next time I need more road miles.
@KurtW - No offense meant by my comment :) I a, seriously considering getting a fan for use with my trainer... I've never done a 100+ mile trainer ride... I can certainly imagine needing a fan then... Kudos to you for putting in those kind of miles on a trainer!
@Dale - no offense taken..ha,,summers in SC even with the AC on, indoor riding is still a sweatfest even with the fan. I miss the flat roads of northwest Ohio were I resided most of my life before moving down here. So to get in the ride training for the Ironman in Florida i spent a lot of time stationary to simulate the flat steady terrain down there.. I have a 94 Kestrel 200SCI 7 speed road bike converted to a Tri bike. Now i have a 2011 Trek Speed Concept 7.0 (10speed) for the road rides. Life's good
