The forecast was for hotter and more humid air again, and I was just not feeling a long run today. Decided to hit the bike again and cruise White Pine Trail north from Comstock Park. Headed up through Rockford and Cedar Springs before turning around in Sand Lake where the paved trail turned to a two track. I am glad it did or I would have been tempted to go too far, and as it was my legs were tired as I finished up the ride. Hot afternoon in the 90's but as usual the breeze on the bike feels great. I like running better, but on a hot day the bike is the way to go.

Great ride. Feeling pretty good afterwards?

Dang, great ride! Have you done any cycling events? My fiance is a crazy cyclist and he's done some duathlons this summer too.

@Ryan thanks, yeah it took me a few minutes to get my legs to straighten out and walk normal but other then that I felt good.
@Anne I just use the bike for a little cross training and am more of a runner at heart.

Wow, 40+ miles on the bike? That is phenomenal!! You really covered some ground and got some great exploring in! Great job, Rob

Well with that pace and that mileage you could easily enter some cycling or duathlon competitions, my fiance won his age group and his bike ride was averaging 19mph. I'm thinking about training for a triathlon next year, so I guess I'll have to get into this biking thing too! Great job again on the ride.

Thanks Anne! My bike is a vintage 1980 Schwinn LeTour 10 speed so I don't think I would last long with the big boys ;-)
