great Fathers Day Free Run 6.02 mi 00:47 07:52 pace

Woke up Sunday morning to some cool but humid weather. 68 degrees with 92% humidity and very light drizzle was looking like a slogfest. I had planned on a free run anyway so I decided to ditch my shirt, HR strap, headphones, iPod, phone, hydration belt and bottles. This was not only very freeing but also helped me avoid the sticky damp shirt feeling on this run. It would have been perfect had I got out the door earlier, as the rain had let off for the most part by the time I headed out. Ran at a tempo pace feel, but also found that without my headphones in I could gauge my effort by listening to my breathing which proved to be a better indicator for me. Really nice relaxing run listening to the rain falling through the trees and the sounds of birds and the rest of nature. My legs felt great after my LSD yesterday, and it was a nice surprise when I got home and checked my watch to see my data and sub 8 pace.

Strong pacing and effort Rob, nice run. I like the idea of running so free that you are shirtless too, great idea especially with the rain!!
