Out here in NC and enjoying the Falls of Neuse River Trail. I did not push the pace on this one just because I want to be somewhat fresh for the R n R half. Last time I was out here I was hurting before, during and after my run. I had a hard time walking to breakfast at the hotel. Today I had no issues and I was able to get there before the bacon was gone. Also wore my new FVM Bondi Band. I love it! I had two different people take a picture of me, but even though they said they took it nothing was saved. I ended up taking a picture myself with it. Be back later DailyMilers!

Nice run - you need a mini-taper this week so take it easy.

Great run! What time are you heading down for Sunday's race? I think I'm going to have to head out around 4. We should try to figure out a meetup for DMers before/after the race.

Lynn, can you keep me posted on what time you intend to leave? My drive into Chicago is probably similar to yours so I figure I should leave at about the same time. I don't drive into Chicago often but at that hour I suspect there won't be much traffic except downtown.

Okay keep me posted. I am not sure what landmarks are around there, but I can be there for DM meetup.

Traffic will be fine getting into the city. As for parking I would suggest checking out http://chicago.bestparking.com Great website I always use to find cheaper parking. DON'T park at Grant or Millennium. You will pay a fortune. Worth it to park a few blocks away and use the walk as a warm up.

Post race you can pick a letter (D?) for meeting up with Daily Milers in the Family Reunion area. Pre-race perhaps pick a side of Buckingham Fountain, near the start. Northwest corner, etc. Just a suggestion. However, not sure how much they have fenced off. Some years it was hard to get in corrals. Last year, it was a free for all. (Low entries)

Nice 4 and so glad to read that your travels were uneventful (so far!) and that there was bacon waiting for you :)
