  1. RUN
blah Bagged It 2.2 mi 00:25 11:21 pace

Lexie was dragging and I wasn't feeling inspired, so we turned around where I would have put her back on the leash. We did spy some Canada Geese which she chased off and then returned when I c... read more

  2. RUN
blah Longfellow via North Point Park 4.6 mi 00:40 08:41 pace

A nice cool run in the mist. I was going to sleep in, but I thought the dog needed some extra exercise. She was bouncing off the walls at 11 PM.

  3. VELO
good Spin Class 18 mi 00:55 19.6mph pace

At the end of class, several people asked if the classes were hard for me. ?!?!! I'm one of the few people with a puddle of sweat under my bike! Unless you have a medical condition that preven... read more

Wait, am I reading right? Are they asking you if you're having a hard time in class because you're sweating a lot? First: Ha! Second, tell them you're just more fit then they are ;-) And then show them this: http://bit.ly/14NhUaf.

I think they were saying that it didn't look like I was working hard and/or struggling. But these people are the ones who don't sweat at all! The sweat observation is mine, not theirs.

Ah ha. In that case - with your sweat observation - my point still stands ;-)

    blah Harpoon 5M 4.8 mi 00:31 06:27 pace

I woke up with a hangover and allergies. After taking a Benadryl, I felt even worse. So I started the race more than halfway back with Annie, Susie and Andrew. I even ran with them for the first .8... read more

alright Concord and Back 31 mi 02:00 15.5mph pace

Big group ride with Samuel S. Katie S. Drew S. Chris O'B, Annie, Lamb, and Brian. Beautiful day. It was fun to run into Ann H. and Chris W. in Concord. Average power may have been 115W. Easy d... read more

  7. RUN
alright Charles River (dog loop) 6 mi 00:50 08:20 pace

What a glorious morning! It was cool and dry and sunny. I was reminded of late summer mornings. Ahh, a great day to be out.

great Spin Class 18 mi 00:55 19.6mph pace

I liked it. Samuel S. pulled a now-classic "Sam" by cancelling at 12:30 AM. Charlie pulled a "Charlie" by not getting out of bed. Mike M. reliably showed up.

      Mike M. Nice Job
      Nice Job:

let's not lose sight of the unprecedented statement that "Mike M reliably showed up." This will be quoted for years to come.

good Hubway Commute In 1.86 mi 00:10:00 11.2mph pace

A glorious ride for a commute in, especially with the threat of rain this afternoon.

  10. VELO
    good Charlestown/Newton 22.17 mi 01:10 19.0mph pace

I love the new bike. I was flying out there this morning. Except for red lights. And except for the 4 miles with the dad. He needs to get in better shape.

  11. FIT
    good Gym workout 00:35

I need some new material. With Mike M.

  12. RUN
great Charles River (dog loop) 6.38 mi 00:48 07:31 pace

Great after work run with Charlie and Lexie before the Bruins game.

  13. RUN
great Cliff Walk 2.5 mi 00:30 12:00 pace

We were dealing with some injuries and wanted to take in the sights. It was a foggy and cool morning. Perfect for a run. Bummer that the entire Cliff Walk wasn't open.

  14. FIT
    good X-Training 00:40

Some spiderman pushups and other weird stuff I wanted to try. Pull ups are fun. I want to be able to do 50 at once.

  15. RUN
tired Longfellow via North Point Park 4.6 mi 00:40 08:41 pace

Whoa. Apparently beer and nuts don't make an adequate dinner. I was dragging out there. On the plus side, the light mist made for great running.

  16. VELO
    good Hubway Commute In 00:10:00

It's especially nice early in the morning when traffic is very light.

  17. VELO
great Spin Class 18 mi 00:55 19.6mph pace

Another big and energetic class. I thought I should have done something differently/better. I'm not sure what though. Mike M. was in the house.

I'm learning to run with the Achilles issue. It was great to get out for a faster run. Lexie is learning to keep up. She was off the leash for about 1/3 of the run. Got home to a delicious Bru... read more
