      This would have tried anyone's patience. I'm not so sure I would have handled as well as you did besides starting to panic after that first bus did not have my bag. Hopefully over time the good memories of the actual race will overshadow the afternoon.

      that's unfortunate and i'm sure beyond frustrating. but I am glad you enjoyed the race itself, were able to see some beautiful views and made yourself a new friend, for those are the things that will last :)

      So sorry to hear that an otherwise beautiful race turned out to be a bad experience. I am not sure if this makes any difference, but I can tell you that if something goes terribly wrong, it is a race directors worst nightmare. While I totally understand how frustrating it must have been, having seen the other side I can imagine the RD is not having such a good post-race wrap-up. I hope your next race will be an awesome one!
