Rich, you should do a short series of what's termed "Dynamic Stretches" before and after your runs...You can find these stretches at runnersworld.com, or just search it on Google...These have helped me a lot!

Thanks... I will go look at them. I started stretching more before and after exercise and I really felt better this morning over Friday.

alright Brandywine Walk/Run 2.3 mi 00:34 4.1mph pace
Walk/Run in intervals. Felt OK. Went further than last 2 times out and actually had a little wind left. Thought my knee would hurt as I started to jog but hasn't been a problem at all.

Great to hear your running Rich. If you continue to do both and watch your diet, you'll make the fat melt like butter. You got to give it at least a good month to see any real benefits. Keep up the good work!

alright 8 mi 00:50 9.6mph pace
Took Alec for his first Mountain Bike ride. He did fantastic and rode well. I was very hot due to it being 90... It always takes a few days for me to acclimate to the heat.

Rich, you might want to stick with just some fast walking with your rides. No need to be asking too much from your knees right now. Try fast walking for 1 min with 1 min rests in between 4 times, then fast for 1:30 min with 1:30 rests 4 times, then :30 sec fast with :30 sec rests then 2 min cool down. These will help condition your knees, legs and hips, and if you combine that with your rides you will begin to notice big changes and gains in about a month! Hope this helps my friend!
