The Arroyo Seco river bike path to Los Angeles from Pasadena. Quite scenic in some spots, such as this one. And, as you can see, not too crowded for an ideal city run or bike ride.

  • That frickin' tree branch cost me $400 in dental work back in 2013. First time running these trails in VFF shoes, so I was carefully watching the ground as I ran through the rocky downhill out of frame; totally clotheslined by that big branch!
  • most creeks are pretty much dried up right now, but this creek still had a little bit trickling through. A nice shady spot along the trail.
  • the trail sometimes opened up to give me a nice view like this one.
  • A fun uphill stretch on today's run
  • The terrain of my dawn run in the desert. You can barely make out the trail on the left side wending inward toward the sun/horizon.
  • One of but many ooh-ah views along Sutton's Run Trail today, one of the secret MTB trails. This one has recently been "adopted" by the state, and will soon be officially maintained, and no longer a secret.
  • Nice woodsy view from an overlook at the highest point on today's trail.
  • Lots of pretty opportunities for meandering out there on the trails today.
