The Arroyo Seco river bike path to Los Angeles from Pasadena. Quite scenic in some spots, such as this one. And, as you can see, not too crowded for an ideal city run or bike ride.

  • After Saturday's race - a phamily photo - we phinnished! :)
  • some of the terrain we explored today, much of it on foot, most running while location scouting.
  • That little speck in the distance is me, testing the feasibility of movie's bad guy charging down that volcanic-gravel/dirt mountain with a trailing cloud of his own dust in pursuit of a victim. Scaling it: hard! Going down: a total blast! :)
  • some of that gingerly-picking i mentioned in my adventure run. This is the edge of a sheer cliff I'm standing on that drops a couple hundred feet. In the movie, a car, driven by a stunt driver, will have to skid to a stop at the edge.
  • From today's run. I feel like this boulder needs a name. After all, it's got a face, right? Trying to figure out what kind of animal face that is....
  • This is that extremely rare "glovus fitus" tree species I came across on today's run. You might think this is the trail builder's personal signature, but NO! - this is actually the tree from which yellow leather work gloves are harvested. Trust me!
