great Wellston Bike Path 6 6 mi 00:46 07:44 pace

A little tempo run to break things up. 60* and 86% humidity - I felt cool to begin with, but by the end, it was just another Sauna Run™. I may or may not have raced the young woman who started out ... read more

    good Prayer Run #3 5.5 mi 00:56 10:09 pace

My third day prayer running covered everything east of Pennsylvania Ave from 1st to 10th Street. The route I covered had lots of hill climbing! It was also drizzling rain, which was no biggie since... read more

I have to tell you that these postings have made an impact on me. My mind is always all over the place when I run. I have had some really tough runs in the conditions in FL where I am working during the week. But there is a hospital that I pass out and back each way--and so in the intensity & toughness of the runs I turn my focus to the people in the hospital & pray for them. And when I can maintain my focus I do the same for the people that pass me driving. Thank you Brian for a wonderful idea.

    great Kelleys Island 9.25 mi

I took an unplanned second trip to Kelleys Island today... Jonathan lost his Camelbak and everything in it, and rather than try to replace everything, we decided to go back.

But first Jonathan and... read more

    great Kelley's Island 5 mi

    great Marblehead Lighthouse O/B 5.3 mi 00:41 07:38 pace

Met up with Rob T. again for our yearly run to Marblehead Lighthouse. It's always a good time and the conversation is always good. Except when we started singing Kokomo by the Beach Boys. Well... read more

  7. RUN
    good Lakeside 5.3 mi 00:43 08:06 pace

Overslept, but so did my running buddy, so we met around 8:30 instead. The wind was crazy strong by the lake, but inland wasn't bad. Good conversational run around Lakeside.

Here is the start of my Conference 5K race. I beat all those speedy kids. Except for three.

  9. RUN
    Lakeside 6.2 mi 00:53 08:29 pace

Awesome job, Rev! You've laid the gauntlet down for me since I have a conference 5K on Thursday morning. ;) Glad the new shoes worked well as you broke them in with pizazz with that speed. And any time you score two prizes involving food, it's a great day!!!

  14. RUN
    great Lakeside 3.79 mi 00:30 07:54 pace

Met up with my friends Rob T. and Blaine before Conference for a nice conversational run. Always nice to run around Lakeside. It was really dry out - only 92% humidity!

  15. RUN
good Prayer run 4 mi 00:37 09:18 pace

I took it easy and ran and prayed. My goal is to run past and pray over all of the houses in town over the summer.

Oh yes, 60* and 100% humidity.

  16. RUN
good Wellston Bike Path 6 6 mi 00:45 07:28 pace

Another Sauna Run™ with 100% humidity. Amazing what my legs will do when the William Tell Overture comes on the iPod.

Nice 6. I would think the William Tell Overture would be very conducive to a fartlek workout. A lot of tempo variance in that one.
