good Crossroads Chelsea School 11.08 mi 01:40 09:01 pace

I was supposed to meet two of my runner friends early for some additional mileage, but they didn't show up, so I ran 2 miles before the other showed. Then I ran the usual Crossroads 12km route... read more

  2. RUN
good Container Route 12.8 km 01:20 10:03 pace

I decided I was too tired to get up for the 5:30am group run so I stayed in bed. Not very long, though, as the kids were up and ready to go nice and early. :-/ So I had breakfast and went out for a... read more

  3. RUN

  4. RUN
good AISL Track Speed Work 6.61 mi 00:53 07:56 pace

Speed Work Thursday. Today I had mile repeats on tap. 3x1600m with 3 minutes recovery. After warm-up, and it was warm, I turned it up. Splits: 6:17, 6:18, 6:15. I was pretty pleased with this. I wa... read more

  5. RUN
good Powerline Tower Route 9.2 km 00:55 09:37 pace

Son #4 woke me up early - too early to get up, too late to go back to sleep. I figured I'd just get out and run. I went up to the cell phone tower, a pretty rugged run. Trail running before da... read more

  6. RUN
    good Boom 5.05 mi 00:47 09:18 pace

Funny how I can be stiff and sore after a rest day. ???? This was an interesting run; it's pretty clear that the cool mornings of "Winter" are over, as it was already warming up towa... read more

  7. For those who were interested, my Garmin decided to name itself Howlin' Mad Murdock.

  8. RUN
good Container Route 15 km 01:31 09:48 pace

Went with a good group of Sunday Runners for the Container Route in reverse direction. I have now gotten a good enough grasp of the turns that I don't get lost here ever anymore. Not unless I ... read more

good LFS Distance Run 27.3 km 02:36 09:11 pace

  10. RUN
great Mountain of God 6.2 mi 00:58 09:24 pace

I had to drop of Lily's sun hat at preschool, so I ran that way. I went through the horse farm and along the container route, but I decided to go to Mountain of God instead. I wanted to set a ... read more

  11. RUN
    Boom 5 mi 00:46 09:11 pace

Nice and easy up to the boom and back. Of course it was straight into the teeth of a strong wind and uphill. Makes for a speedy return and almost guarantees negative splits. I went out predawn and ... read more

The adventure is in the journey and you'll never be sorry that you tried to BQ while you might regret it if you don't. Plus don't you move into a new AG with me? Sub 3:25 is a lot easier to train for than 3:15.

Right on. But it will still require decent training. Not just haphazard running.

good AISL Track 6.2 mi 00:50 08:03 pace

Warmed up for 2 miles (just over 9 minute pace). School is back in session, so the track is open. I dressed wrong for this workout, wrong shoes, no headband (to keep the sweat out of my eyes), but ... read more

tired Japan Road Loop from AISL 3.75 mi 00:37 09:52 pace

  14. RUN
great Mountain of God 9.7 mi 01:30 09:16 pace

Amazing pace! And yes Strava is fun if you're trying to be competitive with yourself or anyone else. It's good when you're looking for that. I might get back on there this fall.
