WEll, I've always worn Asics, but the last pair I bought were Mizuno Wave Creation and I like the arch support... but I think I probably should have gotten a half size bigger. I don't really know what to look for different in trail running. So I am torn :(

A lot depends on the race distance. For 5 and 10ks, I don't do a whole lot besides rest. Not worried about carb loading or hydration, for longer than that I try to hydrate more through the day as well as eat a little heavier carb meal for lunch, smaller dinner!

I eat and drink accordingly to how long I will be running, sometimes I start this 3 days before the run depending on the distance of the race, The day before a race is usually a normal day for me unless its a marathon or longer. I have a half tomorrow and I worked 10 hours of very physical work today but I did eat and drink for the race tomorrow.

Yes Sang, I do about the same.....nothing different for smaller races.....the half is what I'm talking about, I guess.

I'm doing a half this morning....on my way there now. It's 77 miles away! Had to leave my house about 0445. Good luck Josh!!!
