Restless night last night, so I really wasn't feeling these today. Got out late and just HOPED I could get through them. The plan called for hill repeats with three uphills and one downhill. Results as follows:
repeat #1 (uphill) -- 3:30.5
repeat #2 (uphill) -- 3:27.3
repeat #3 (downhill) -- 3:00.0
repeat #4 (uphill) -- 3:23.3
These were relatively on par with two weeks ago, though the uphills were a little slower. I was more focused this time on keeping the pace smooth and breathing comfortably throughout, though that was somewhat of a challenge at the tail end of the last one. I wish I hadn't forgotten to put on my heart rate transmitter; it would've been interesting to see where I topped out at.
Happy to get this done. These look a lot better from this side than they did when I rolled out of bed. I'm pretty much done for the day. Have a full regimen of strength training and probably a four-mile treadmill recovery in the morning. (Can't make midday spin due to a meeting, so it looks like I'll be running instead.)

Awesome work! I have a friend who ran Boston who told me to work more on my downhills than my ups. I already figure I'll be walking in Newton :-)
