Diane I often do the treat deal with Ruby when I take Susi, but as soon as I get back it's "Is it my turn ?" at the door. @Tatiana Monica and I have jokingly considered a diggy sized treadmill for Ruby. Though I fear the payback the pooch would unleash on the house. She has her own pace, and it is what it is. She's like a miniature mule.
