RUN
good Blackwater Creek 11.18 mi 01:34 08:24 pace
I was able to slow it down and stay pretty steady. It didn't feel any easier though. I think I overworked on hill repeats on Thursday.

RUN
good Neighborhood 4.12 mi 00:32 07:42 pace
I'm trying to slow down my pace and I can't do it. I think I'm going to go insane. Does anyone else have this problem?
-
When I have dropped my running down to a few days a week, I could always run fast because I always ran recovered. Now that I run every day, there are days I NEED to run slow, from fatigue, working hard, soreness, etc. that teach me how to hold back when I want to. I used to have 2 speeds: on and off. Now I have loads of speeds (granny run, jiggity, jog, easy run, run, fast run, track running).
Maybe start with fartleks so you can feel different speeds within your run (even if your overall pace is fast) -
That's a cool problem to have :)

My first long run in quite awhile (feels like it at least). I wanted to and could have run longer but decided to show some discipline for a change. Discipline?! ME?!

Mr Ralph - what a race to skip! Taking my time from last year's race (when it was Issy's Race for Life), I would have placed 3rd in my AG! After Saturday's half, however, I doubt I could have run a 7:30 ish pace for 4 miles. Oh well, maybe next time.

RUN
great Blackwater Creek 6 mi 00:43 07:10 pace
I haven't been running NEARLY as much as I'd like. I was happy to get this one in but probably shouldn't have pushed so hard the day before a race. We shall see.

RUN
great Up and down Wyndhurst 6 mi 00:44 07:19 pace
I felt GREAT (just like the happy face says). I got faster with every mile and ended up running a 6:30 last mile. This is good if I plan to finally get my sub 40 10k this year.

good Angels Race 3.1 mi 00:21 06:46 pace
Sadly, I'm no triathlete. I was asked to run in the relay and so I did. I felt guilt passing so many people on the 3rd leg of their event. I kept telling them they were doing great and that... read more

I liked the new Mizunos but I'm not sure they can beat a pair of Kinvaras.

great Percival's Island 5 mi 00:34 06:52 pace
My family left me for the week. I guess I should run. I gave about all I could give on this run. Like the great Salt N' Pepa once said, "Push it, push it real good."

Did you just use "great" and "Salt N' Pepa" in the same sentence? Nice run, though. Gearing up for Point of Honor. There's some prize money in it for you if you can finish in the top 3!

Scott, you and I both know I'm not top 3 material. I'll settle for a raffle prize and a medal.
