Given my fears from knee pain yesterday this was a wonderful run. Today was one my few weekdays this week which my schedule would allow a run. With yesterdays issues I had trepidation about going out today and decided to let fate be my guide. I brought gear to work and waited to see if Bob H. invited me to join him. Fate and Bob said run so we did. Besides 50°F in Jan? No ITB pain what so ever. In fact Bob had to reign in my bumbling exuberance a couple times as I was supposed to be at a "social" pace.
With travel on my schedule this week I plan on packing my VFFs just in case I get time to run. I wanted to wear them today due to the natural strike they give me but I wanted to stay out of the puddles and keep em dry to pack tomorrow. We took a low incident puddle route but got thwarted by a light sprinkle of rain at mile 1.5 which by mile 2.5 turned into a short lived downpour which was so strong that it's noise made hearing each other speak a challenge. I could not have been more wet if swimming. So if you're watching a presentation tomorrow and the guy has two wet footprints on his suit? It's because his wet VFFs were packed next to his jacket. Oh well. Maybe they'll dry out.

Nice run (swim?), Goat. Stuff some newspaper in those VFFs tonight and they'll be dry by tomorrow morning. Have a safe trip!

Epilogue: Stuffed em with newspaper for four hours before bed then pulled that out, clipped them to my luggage so they were resting over a heat vent while I slept. They were dry enough to pack by the time I left. Thanks for the tip.
