I had to do a lot of walk/run combo, esp on the hills. I took about a 4 minute rest talking to other runners while I stretched my cranky calf a bit, and that is included in the time...so I guess really about 36-37 minutes. Even the 40 is still better than my Shamrock 5k time, so I'm okay with it. After running these hills all summer, I'm gonna find a super flat course for a change so I can feel like superman flying down the miles!

I think that I will like hills eventually...they are sort of my nemesis right now. Once I'm able to top them without walking I'll like them a lot better, since I'll have won! :)

I gotta mention though, my hills are probably WEAK hills around here in ND :) We are flat country :)
