good Lake Mead VII 2100 yd 01:15 62:51 pace

Final open water swim (#ows) before Slam the Dam! Still a bit nervous about the distance (2.4mi) but coaches have more confidence in my ability to complete it than I do. Just gotta believe myself. ... read more

great Masters swim: Wk8 Thur 3900 yd 01:40 45:07 pace

2.2mi! A first for me. That hour and 40 minutes also included giggling in our lane (because we lost count of laps) and pointing fingers at who should lead the next workout set. xD Felt great, but H... read more

good Masters swim: Wk9 Tue 3300 yd 01:45 56:00 pace

    great Masters swim: Wk8 Tue (off-site) 3450 yd 01:40 51:00 pace

Travelling meant that I had to find a pool where I could do my laps and found Menlo Park's Burgess Pool open for drop-ins. Though it was fairly costly for my tastes ($7 if you didn't live... read more

  7. swim

  8. swim
alright Lake Mead VI 3080 yd 01:30 51:25 pace

I was totally running late this morning -- I normally tap snooze on my iPhone when my 5am alarm rings and tend to nap for about half the time it gives you (4 out of 8 minutes)... Well, I used the f... read more

    alright Masters swim: Wk7 Tue 1200 m 00:50 67:03 pace

    I'm disappointed I didn't finish my workout :\ I just panicked after doing the warm up workout (600m) when I saw 12 x 100m @ pace :10 rest. +_+ I ended up doing only 600m before I called ... read more

    great Lake Mead V 3000 yd 01:20 46:55 pace

The distance is approximate -- plus or minus 200yds lol. It's difficult to keep track of it on the lake. :) I'm just glad I was able to do the full workout as I was able to draft off some... read more

great Masters swim: Wk6 Thur 3300 yd 01:25 45:20 pace

Felt great tonight: during and after the workout. We began with 500yd warm up (300 swim, 200 kick) and then moved to our main sets -- first we did a pyramid workout of 200yd, 400yd, 600yd, 400yd, 2... read more

  16. VELO
blah Long Beach Triathlon: Bike 11 mi 00:42 15.8mph pace

Disappointed w/ my bike split, but I really shouldn't be too hard on myself considering I didn't really train for the bike portion -- save for a few (less than 5) 25 minute rides on the i... read more

good Long Beach Triathlon: T1 00:03:24

  19. RUN
blah Long Beach Triathlon: Run 3 mi 00:32 10:44 pace

This run sucked, which I should have expected! I don't know why I had delusions that I'd be doing this at a 9:30, even 10min/mi pace when the latest run that I did was the day before (and... read more

      You're an Inspiration:

Hey, don't sweat it! It's still inspiring to read your tri experiences. Since the weather is "cooling" down, it should be easier to go on morning or evening runs to get back on track while you're in Vegas. ;)
