  1. RUN
    tired Bridge 6.4 mi

Can we campaign for a porta potty or bathroom at the top of the bridge? Really would've appreciated that tonight.

  2. RUN
good Morning Wakeup 3.17 mi 00:26 08:06 pace

Negative split run... just a quick one this morning, planning to hit the bridge this evening. Really love my new Mizuno Wave Hitogami shoes, seems like I run faster in em, haha.

Great morning work Amy! It’s funny how we never seem to grow up (regarding the new shoes feeling).

  3. RUN
    alright 6.21 mi 00:56 09:01 pace

Legs felt a little heavy- probably from yesterday's BodyPump (and lack of a recovery run to shake out after Pump). The weather outside was perfect, though. Lower humidity. Ran from West Ashley... read more

  4. FIT
    good BodyPump 01:00

    Never miss a Monday :).

In other news, I hate the cooldown for BodyPump 90. Not because it's Nickelback, but it's too up-tempo for a cooldown, imho.

  5. FIT
    good BodyFlow 00:55

I hit the yoga mat for the first time in like a month. Pretty sure I'll feel this tomorrow, and not sure how much I like the latest BodyFlow release. It feels like more of a workout and has su... read more

  6. RUN
    good 8 mi 01:12 09:00 pace

Hooray for getting my long run back up to 8 miles so I can run it with OnShore Racing :). Always glad for the little push from the group, too!

  7. RUN
good Another local subdivision 5 mi 00:41 08:17 pace

Not too shabby. Gotta stop waiting until almost 7 to run. Getting hot out there and more drivers were out.

    Splits... 8:34, 8:16, 8:13, 8:18, 8:05

  8. VELO
    good Spin 20 mi

I like doing spin on non-run days. It's a good way to work on turnover (especially when it's hard to run fast in the heat and you can't do much speedwork), plus it seems to help my r... read more

  9. RUN
alright Fleet Feet Summer of Suds 3.36 mi 00:32 09:31 pace

Recovery run. I tried out the Saucony Ride shoes. Felt like giant marshmallows on my feet! I guess they work for others, but I can scratch those off my list of possible shoe purchases.

  10. RUN
great Up in da club... 5.01 mi 00:40 07:54 pace

To think I almost went back to bed...

    Splits... 8:28, 7:55, 7:45, 7:32, 7:51.

The last mile consisted of surges from recycling bin to recycling bin. The joys of suburbia by the swamp.

  11. VELO
    good Spin 20 mi

Spin spin spin. Apparently the gym was late opening this morning because someone didn't get to work on time. Oops.

Haha, well everyone in spin was fine, but the gym opens at 4:30 and that person was late. Feel bad for those peeps. I just know some gym-goers were not very happy and the workers were stressed :(

Awesome! Was it held in May this past year? I definitely think I may want to do this one as well. I look for the code when you post.

Thanks guys! Yeah, it was in May in 2014. I think moving it to late March is a good call because that means everyone in the South trains during the winter (best time to train for a marathon) and it's cooler on race day. A half in May is do-able, but a full might be pretty brutal, March is much better!

  13. RUN
Downtown Colonial Lake Route 4 mi

Same route as last week. First 3 miles were easy, then kicked it up to crank out an 8:01 final mile. Lots of horse carriages out today.

  14. FIT
    great BodyPump 01:00

    Monday morning BodyPump.

Key to working out early in the morning = Never miss a Monday :).

  15. RUN
    good Easy 3 3.02 mi 00:27 09:05 pace

So muggy out today. I can't stand the stupid little yappy dogs in my 'hood that chase after me, ugh. Broke my stride and probably woke everyone up too.

  16. RUN
great Fleet Feet Run Club 7 mi 01:02 08:53 pace

Best post-injury run yet. Felt strong the whole time, like I could go longer (but I won't this week).

Cooler temps, shade, and starting slower really helped!

  17. RUN
tired Charleston Running Club Commu... 4 mi

    Laughable moment of the night:

One group ran 3 miles and one ran 5. I split it in the middle and ran 4 and when I got back, the organizer told me the track workouts were definitely helping since ... read more
