  1. RUN
    Downtown Sightseeing Run 6 mi

I love easy runs downtown. Miles in the bank! Now resting for Saturday's James Island Connector Run.

  2. RUN
great Speedwork Pain Train 4.5 mi

Not sure where the speed came from tonight, but I'll take it... :).

    Warmup, 4 x 1/2 mile intervals @ 3:31, 3:16 3:19 3:21, Cooldown

  3. FIT
great Hump Day Pump Day 00:45

The instructor had somewhere to be this morning (she's a PT student) so the classes are shorter now. Not a bad thing because most people have to leave early anyway, so now no one has to leave ... read more

  4. RUN
good Descending pace neighborhood run 3.51 mi 00:29 08:11 pace

Wanted to get a little something in today... went from 8:41 pace to 7:55 so I'll say it was a good run. Starting to like the Wave Rider 18's a little more, I redid the (short) laces to lo... read more

  6. RUN
good Up in the club... the Hunt Club 6 mi

Another neighborhood run. Had a dinner date so I was going to miss speedwork, but I didn't want to skip out on running, so I ran before the dinner date (haha).

Wore the Wave Rider 18'... read more

  7. RUN
great Running with the Hounds 2.7 mi 00:22 08:11 pace

1st place female, overall, at Running with the Hounds.

Course was short, but 8:11 pace on a trail for an overall win? I'll take it. Fun (but hot) afternoon run at Middleton Place.

  8. RUN
    Spooky Shuffle 3.5 mi

Ran in my cute little sailor girl costume this morning. Thanks to OnShore Racing for putting on a fun costume group run.

  9. RUN
    Sawmill 9 mi

Easy 9 miler on the Sawmill Branch trail on a beautiful morning. Feels like Fall outside- I even had to wear long sleeves (love the Charleston Marathon race shirts).

It's a beautiful day for... read more

We clearly live in very different climates...I get excited about short sleeves this time of year! It was above 50 this morning!

It was below 50 here! 46 degrees in Summerville, SC. It was above 50 when we finished but the run was a bit shady so needed the sleeves today. Still, most runs this time of year, short sleeves are fine in SC.

I never experienced the 17's that people thought were so bad- this is my first pair of Wave Rider's since 15. It was my first run in them so it felt more like running in new shoes than anything else, I could tell they were not broken in and I think they will require breaking in.

They felt a little bulky in the heels but I'm used to the Elixirs or the Hitogami's which are a lower profile shoe. I do think the laces are too short and may replace them.

good Tour De Parking Garages 5.5 mi

First parking garage run in awhile, kinda tough but a beautiful day out there yesterday. Really enjoyed it and glad to get some incline work in.

  12. VELO
    good 20 mi

The instructor didn't show at spin this morning. I was shocked at how many people left just because she didn't show (as in, they left the gym and went home or to work or wherever they go ... read more

Yeah if I make the effort to get the gym, I'm not leaving without a workout. Plenty of things to do at the gym in lieu of a class.

Yah some people opted to do the elliptical or lift weights, which is cool, but at least do something... especially if you made the effort to get there at 6 AM. I just started doing spin again (to hopefully help my running cadence and also cross train on days I don't do the speed workouts), but right now this is leaving a bad taste in my mouth with instructors not showing up. I may just run on Thursday mornings from now on...

Thank you, I am feeling better today but I did not get up early for spin this morning. Slept in and it felt good. Not sure what was up last night, just felt really weak and I was pale :(. So, trying to make sure I don't get sick and have to take a bunch of days off here!
