  1. RUN
good Howie's Pain Train 4.5 mi

Beautiful night for 1/2 mile repeats. I felt great once I warmed up, guess I'm more recovered from Saturday than I thought.

  4. RUN
    good Easy 8 8 mi 01:13 09:04 pace

My quads hate me after yesterday. None of the other parts of my body like me very much either. LOL.

  5. RUN
    great LifePoint Cooldown 1.2 mi

Ran back to find friends and cool down after the 5K. All the race course volunteers knew me by this time... this was the 4th time they saw me since I ran the course 3 times during the actual races ... read more

Ugh, sorry you had a bad set of races. It's hard to eat/train/sleep well when life is tiring and stressful, I would bet that just a couple of good days of sleep/hydration/etc would help a lot.

I think so. I really had to adjust this week with the weather and work, not to mention the hip flair up from last week :(. Anyway, it's faster than I would have run on my own so I guess that's the good thing about racing, if nothing else it's good training for the next one.

Amy, your last comment is exactly why I sign up for races even if I don't think I am race ready. It is a guaranteed workout at a faster than normal pace. Great job on that!

So sorry you had a tough day. Those two-races-a-day situations are tough - it's hard physically, but also mentally because you can't really focus on both at once. Take it easy and I hope you have a better week!

  10. RUN
good Rain rain rain 7.07 mi 01:00 08:30 pace

I don't always get caught in the rain on a 7 mile run, but when I do, it's an out-and-back route and my Garmin says I'm 3.7 miles into the run. Yup, 3.3 miles back home in the rain. ... read more

It's a great class. Violet is awesome (same lady who teaches Monday morning Pump). I also normally run on Thursday... and every day except Friday... until this hip threw me a curveball. I figured w/ the temps + wonky hip it was a good day to check out the class :).
