In the gym when they opened at 7:00 am this morning. Leg day, with some pull-ups and ab work. Funny how the gym was much busier today at this time, verses the last few months. Guess all those New Year resolution folks were up and out early too. :)

Smith machine: Single leg press to 80 pounds . 4x10
Smith machine: Double leg press to 170 pounds. 4x10
Smith machine: Close leg squats 4x10 pulsing on the sit part.
Smith machine: Glutes and Hams 2x15

Smith machine: Shoulder press because I love doing it.. 4x10 up to 50 pounds.
Smith machine: Arm lifts with 5 pounds. Just a few to loosen up the arms.

Pull-ups: 25 total just for fun and to stretch out.
Hanging leg raises.

Inclined leg press. 450 pounds down ladder to 180 single leg press. Calf work in between sets.

Leg extension: 150 pounds down ladder to 85 pounds.
Seated leg curl. 100 pounds down to 85.

Lot's of band work (bought a smaller red band to make the resistance harder for me) doing squats on the bosu balance ball and the other balance thing. Not sure what it's called, but it's much harder than the ball, that's for sure. Love working on my balance.

Stretching for 20 minutes and foam roller.

    Nah, no worries. Most of them are doing cardio though, funny how that works. I love encouraging newbies and out shape folks, just wish they'd stick with it longer, to really see some changes. My one female friend at the gym, finally told me she was done with all the cardio, finally. She's listening to me and starting to lift weights now, because she wasn't losing weight or toning up doing all that cardio. Took her months to figure this out, but I'm so excited for her now. She's not overweight,

    at all, so I think, she'll tone up pretty fast now. I encouraged her to start, light and slow, build herself up. Her thoughts have been to do as much cardio as possible, to lose belly fat and tone her tush. But she saw that wasn't working so well for her. Weight lifting makes a huge difference. I did tell her to keep doing cardio though, just not daily, maybe 2 x a week now. IDK.... She has nothing to lose now, but fat! :)

    That is good advice. I know I have seen big results since starting my weight lifting, although I love running so finding the balance is tough. I am heavier then when I was my fastest, but leaner and stronger too. Not sure I will ever be as fast, but I am much healthier.
