Yesterday my lack of attention to detail caused me to miss all of my scheduled workouts including a 6 p.m. run. So I was determined to meet at least one of my goals today. I brought my running clothes to work with me determined to change and meet up with a running group at the local running store only to discover at the end of the day that I left my running shoes at home...again.
I went home, changed, laced up and went out. Nothing was going to stop me. My shins are beginning to hurt a little for the first mile and I have a feeling that I should look into getting a new pair of shoes...it doesn't seem like I should be buying a new pair so soon, but I really need to sit down and calculate the miles on them.
Other than that annoying pain and heavy legs for the first mile, the run was good!

Nice run! Sorry you missed your group. As for shoes sometimes it is not the miles but your feet/legs/body telling you it is time.

I pay no attention to miles on my shoes. Go with your gut.

Thanks guys!!Yeah, I think it's time...and this is my first experience with Saucony so I'm not sure how many miles I can put on them and what works for me just yet. I used to get 250-300 miles out of the Brooks Adrenaline.
