I think you meant "beast" but with the way I feel right now "beat" is probably more accurate....LOL! Nice 3 Phil and YES, one step at a time. Running loves you...it will come back :D

I thought you had Kinvarnas? Those are 7mm I believe. Either way, not all the runs will be perfect. Way to push through the pain Phil (but don't push too much). Nice job!

I got the Guide 5 like 2 weeks ago. Until then I ran in the ride 3 and loooved them and the triumph 8 (just a beefier version of the ride ). Those were 12mm drop, the kinvara is 4. But the ride and triumph were neutral and the guide more cushioned for slight pronate...didn't think it mattered but clearly it does hahah

Nice run, Philip. That pace would kick my butt . . . big time! Modifying plans is smart--I always decide what kind of run I'll do AFTER the first mile.

Right now it's just 5K's and I have the Spartan sprint race (3-4 mile obstacle course)...then this week I am siging up for the Spartan Beast race in VT.... it's a 10-12 mile obstacle course race...they don't tell you exactly how far. I am going to try to focus on speed work this summer and get my 5K PR down to hopefully sub 24:00. That's 1 minute a mile faster than my PR.... we shall see :-)
