  1. RUN
    alright Base Camp 4.12 mi

Started out feeling great. Almost went farther, but decided to turn back at the two-mile mark. Just as well, because I abruptly dried out at about three miles and completely lost all energy.

  2. RUN
good Wrong Side of the Tracks 2.31 mi

    Out and back.

  3. RUN
tired Over the River 3.32 mi

Hot out. About 94 degrees. I thought I had had enough fluid, but a little dehydrated. Just felt laggy.

  4. RUN
alright Over the River 3.32 mi

Smoky out from the brush fires in Oregon. Made my throat and chest burn. Needed the run, though.

  5. RUN
good Over the River 3.32 mi 00:30 08:53 pace

Hey, twice in two weeks! That's about six times more often than my average right now! Felt pretty good. Splits were just slightly negative.

  6. RUN
good Over the River 3.32 mi 00:32 09:37 pace

Apparently I'm running about once every six to eight weeks now. Boo. Anyway, the weather was excellent, I got home before dark, and I didn't have too much homework, so I hit the road! ... read more

  7. RUN
alright Ham and Bacon 6.72 mi 01:11 10:33 pace

It's been too long - months, actually. Felt pretty good for about four miles, but pretty tired by the end.

  8. RUN
good Wilson Trail to Roosevelt 5.25 mi 00:48 09:08 pace

Glad I went. Needed to clear my head. Well, it helped a little. Mild pain left knee, right ankle - just enough to be irritating.

  9. RUN
alright Over the River 3.32 mi 00:29 08:50 pace

Between being a wee bit busy and recovering from the creeping crud, I haven't been doing much running. Ran a couple of weeks ago with one of my professors who left me in the dust. Before that... read more

  10. RUN
good To the Top 5.15 mi 00:46 08:58 pace

Felt great for the first half ... almost completed the loop, but glad I didn't because I was pretty tired on the way back. I always high-five the stop sign at the turn-around point - usually ... read more

  11. RUN
alright Over the River 3.32 mi 00:32 09:31 pace

On the road again (sing it with me!), Couldn't wait to get on the road again, 'Cause I'm so sick of running circles in the gym, I just couldn't wait to get on the road again.

  12. I should have all of my hours in at the Y tomorrow (required for a class), and I'm looking forward to putting in some outside miles!

  13. FIT
alright Weights at the Y 02:00

Ouch. I haven't lifted seriously in 15 or 20 years. So I went with a friend half my age. That may have been a mistake. Finished up with a fast two-mile on the track, and walked a half mile to ... read more

  14. VELO
good Stationary Bike at the Y 9 mi 00:40 13.5mph pace

Did required reading for my writing class and pushed the pedals. Walked a half mile after to cool down.

  15. RUN
    alright Treadmill 3.5 mi 00:35 10:00 pace

Ok, so I remember why I don't like treadmills.

  16. RUN
good 60 Laps at the Y 5 mi

Around and around and around and around. I don't really like treadmills, but after this workout, I'll probably just get on the treadmill. At least then I won't have to try to count l... read more

  17. RUN
alright Van Der Trakken 3.17 mi 00:29 09:07 pace

Ankle was a little sore. I didn't have much energy. Probably the fact that I haven't eaten very well in the last 24 hours or so. Pretty warm out there, too.

  18. RUN
good Over the River 3.32 mi 00:28 08:34 pace

Ankle only hurt for the first couple hundred yards, then just felt a little stiff after that. Some mild pain/stiffness on the outside of my leg the last half mile or so. Felt pretty fast, conside... read more

  19. RUN
Wrong Side of the Tracks 2.31 mi

Being busy at work, a work trip, a vacation, out of town guests, and a sprained ankle have all conspired to keep me from running for the last month or so. The sprain is 12 days old and still prett... read more
