  1. RUN
good Early morning easy 5.11 mi 00:49 09:31 pace

First early morning run in a long time! Easy paced, but I doubt I could get my legs moving any faster if I wanted to. Still was warm and sticky out, so I guess this was better than running tonight ... read more

  2. RUN
    good 4.04 mi 00:35 08:42 pace

Nice night to get the leg turnover going

  3. RUN
good Recovery Run 5.24 mi 00:51 09:43 pace

Nice recovery run to get the legs moving after Saturdays 25k race. Focusing now on next weeks Bayshore marathon in Traverse City!

  4. RUN
    good 5/3 Riverbank 25k 15.62 mi 02:27 09:24 pace

Not a PR, but a good lesson in sticking to a plan to have a decent finish! Temps in the mid-60s, high humidity, and rain made this one of the toughest races I have ever ran!

  5. RUN
    good 4.05 mi 00:35 08:41 pace

Easy miles to finish off the day

  6. RUN
    blah 3.05 mi 00:27 08:54 pace

Had to cut this 7 miler short due to being light headed on the mill.

  7. RUN
    good Recovery 4.05 mi 00:38 09:21 pace

My legs felted like 600lb lead elephant turds this morning. But I talked myself into at least one mile on the mill to flush the crap out. That first mile was rough, but it kept getting easier each ... read more

I think the phrase "hurts so good" might have been conceived on a recovery run.

good LR on the TM 14.05 mi 02:01 08:38 pace

Not too bad of a LR on the treadmill of happiness!

  9. RUN
    good Easy 7.06 mi 01:05 09:09 pace

Easy evening run the TM in the glorious basement. Woohoo! 14 on the beast tomorrow! LOVE IT! Yah! YAAAAHHHH!!!!

  10. RUN
    good Tempo 4.06 mi 00:33 08:10 pace

Tempo run on the TM dream machine! This went very well and that really blew me away how I handled that pace on the mill. Modified my workout to more closely match what Higdon calls for.

good Where did I run? Nowhere, bec... 4.11 mi 00:37 09:04 pace

Miller Tuesday Mania! Yeah, nothing more exciting than a being drilled into the skull on the mill with a #2 boredom drill. Coach Higdon said 4 easy, and that is what he got. Done. Finished.

  12. RUN
    good 7.08 mi 01:04 09:04 pace

As easy as a 3F run can go. Legs never loosened up and it felt way hard than this pace normal is.

    • Barb

It is so hard when the legs can't warm up.

    good Recovery 3.11 mi 00:29 09:15 pace

Recovery on the wheel of despair. Not much to say about a easy recovery run on the mill in the basement. Legs felt pretty good after yesterdays long run. I am feeling pretty good heading into my fi... read more

  14. RUN
good TM Half Marathon 13.12 mi 01:54 08:42 pace

LR on the TM in the basement completed! Went pretty well with the pedestal fan blowing hard onto me. Tweaked the stride and the pace here and there for variety. Watched some Netflix to pass the tim... read more

good Treadmill tour of the basement 6.1 mi 00:55 08:57 pace

TM tour of de basement. Nothing exciting about the mill in the basement. I was happy that my knee held up well along with my Achilles.

  16. RUN
good Easy and fricking COLD 5.19 mi 00:47 09:06 pace

That was one cold run and the stiff north wind did not help. Knee felt good though. Win.

    • Barb

I'm impressed you went outside on a day like today! Nice miles and glad the knee is happy. :)

    alright Easy 4.21 mi 00:38 09:06 pace

My legs felt like lead turds, big ones. For a while I was convinced even that I had a stress fracture somewhere. I finished the run and feel ok now.

  18. RUN
    good Easy 6.59 mi 00:59 09:01 pace

I was all over the west of GR today! Sort of nice out. Easy pace to start the week.

  19. RUN
    good Recovery 3.14 mi 00:28 09:02 pace

Nice easy recovery run to flush the crap out of the legs after a long hard week of workouts. Looking forward to seeing how the body responds to this week,

  20. RUN
    great 13.9 mi 01:59 08:31 pace

Very nice! It is hard to control the legs sometimes, but you did an amazing job. And I'm kind of amazed that you stopped at 13.9. I'm crazy and would've ran loops around a parking lot.

I thought about looping the gym parking lot, but I wanted to be done. I should of extended the mid-point turn around to get that tiny bit in!
