It's been a rough couple of running weeks, so I originally had planned to be lazy today, sleep late, and not run at all. But then the weather was so nice, I felt guilty about not taking advantage of it.
So midway through the day, I grabbed my shirt, shorts and hat, and went outside for a nice, easy barefoot run.
I am pleasantly surprised by the time. Usually, running barefoot slows me down, and I happy with a 10-minute-per-mile pace. So a 9:15 pace is much better than expected.
Of course, much of the run was on the grass, which was nice and soft and wet and cool on my feet. It felt so wonderful, and reminded me why I like running barefoot.
