      A lot of the benefit of intervals is the effort, not necessarily the pace. But I know what you mean. When I do intervals, I try to focus on the intervals themselves and think of the rest of it as a warm up and cool down. :-)

      Thanks Scott: That's motivating. Cross training makes a huge difference, and I am bent on starting that again soon instead of plain riding and trying to pedal harder.
