good Tuesday - Powder Mill Rd 5 km 00:26 08:13 pace

I am still getting over being sick, and I have been using that as part of my excuse to not workout. Ange called me out today and asked how I was going to run a personal best in a week when I have not been working out. So, I got off my butt and did a short, but hard workout.

I think this is the fastest I have run a single 5k. I think I ran a longer distance once and the first 5k may have been faster, but don't remember for sure.

The run was good. I am definitely not feeling the best right now. I have not been getting enough sleep and I even felt sick to my stomach a little bit after the run while I stretched. I did get in a good stretch though and my hamstring has been feeling better. All in all a good run. :D

Whoo hoo! My work here is done! LOL! That's a fabulous time. Looks like you'll smash that PB. Hope it helps you get some better sleep tonight.

wow...that's a pretty high heart rate. Is that usual for you? Or do you think it was because of your sickness and hard workout combination? All I know is if I get to 170, I'm feeling pretty nasty. That might be why you felt sick to your stomach. I usually feel sick with any heart rate over 170 and you averaged 177!

My Garmin shows that my heart rate is usually higher than most people weather I am working hard or doing an easy workout. I have been wanting to try a different heart rate monitor to see if it is my monitor that is the difference.

My resting heart rate is pretty good (under 60), but when I start to move around it will jump pretty quick. When I am done working out, it will drop pretty quick too. It has been going down over the past year as I have been getting in better and better condition.

We can meet up and you can borrow my heart rate monitor, it's really good. I would still check with your doctor about that, that's really high...I don't want to scare you, but I'd be concerned. Mine drops pretty quick too, and I also have a higher than average heart rate, and always have, but I still make sure mine doesn't go above 165, if it does, I slow down until it gets to at the most 160. Plus, it never hurts to go to the doctor and get a physical.
