  1. FIT
good Rock and Flow class 01:15

Vinyasa set to awesome music. A less serious sweat fest. Hard not to sing along!

  2. RUN
alright Prince William County Forest 6.05 mi 01:30 14:57 pace

First time at this trail with some new friends. HOLY COW, that was a toughie. Singletrack. Lots of rocks and roots and hills. Definitely going back there again.

  3. RUN
blah Rocky Run 4 mi 00:48 12:01 pace

I just wanted to get out there. More or less an out and back with some little tangents to make it an even 4. First half all run, second half run 7 walk 1. Pain but...whatever. I am grateful that I ... read more

  4. FIT
    alright Bikram 01:30

Went better than last time, inasmuch as I could do a few more of the postures and was less sore the day after. Three more classes to go.

  5. RUN
alright PRFX Fun Run 2.6 mi 00:28 10:52 pace

Jumping in on part of the store fun run before clocking in for my shift. MEH.

  6. FIT
    alright Bikram 01:30

WOW it has been a while. Using my Groupon at Pure Om Fairfax. Exactly as hard as I thought it would be.

  7. RUN
alright Rocky Run trail 3.6 mi 00:41 11:25 pace

Including photo ops for all the dear we saw. Glad to get on and stay on the trail this time. Pain by the end but I think the KT tape was helpful. From the knees up I feel like I could got farther a... read more

  8. swim
good Flop swim post spin 1000 yd 00:23 39:51 pace

I almost remember how this swimming thing works. I planned on doing 1,000 yards, I just didn't plan on it feeling strong. Moderate effort, could have done more.

  9. FIT
    good Gym 22.6 mi 01:00 02:39 pace

For how little I actually wanted to go, this felt great. New playlist on the phone helped a bit as well. :)

  10. RUN
    good 'hood 2.5 mi 00:27 10:52 pace

Nighttime sweatfest. No walk breaks. Wore the blinky taillight but forgot that a shady sidewalk during the day is pitch black at night. Next time, headlamp.

  11. RUN
    blah PRFX 3.28 mi 00:37 11:25 pace

Ow. I felt like crap all day but we'd agreed to do this run so we went. 4x1 run/walk. I guess the pace isn't bad with that in mind. And the route is mostly uphill. Rude. I just felt like ... read more

  12. FIT
alright Cacapon State Park, WV 5.56 mi 02:45 29:40 pace

Ish. I wasn't totally on the ball with the Garmin when we stopped for water and to let Boo run around. Not as long a hike as Old Rag but steep as all hell. My trouble spots were pretty unhappy... read more

  13. RUN
    alright TRI 3.5 mi 00:43 12:21 pace

The hope was for 4-5 but that clearly didn't work out. I wasn't expecting it to be humid or the air to be so still. The shade was nice but the dead air did me no favors. A little pain tow... read more

  14. RUN
good Rocky Run Trail 3 mi 00:34 11:13 pace

Well, part of it was on that trail. Still having technical difficulties actually finding it and being able to stay on it. No walk breaks tonight. Just low and slow. Weather was perfect and I felt g... read more

  15. RUN
good Around the neighborhood 3.1 mi 00:34 10:56 pace

This went shockingly well, given how sore I've been since the hike and tumble on Saturday. 4:1 run/walk on repeat until 3.1. Was able to feel like I was pushing and still feel strong and pain ... read more

  16. FIT
good Old Rag 9 mi 04:26 29:33 pace

What an adventure! 4 miles and 2600 ft elevation gain on the way up, lots of rock scrambling and using muscles I'd forgotten existed. 5 miles on the way back down, including the last 2.5 on a ... read more

  17. RUN
    good Neighborhood 2.23 mi 00:25 11:13 pace

Considering the time, temperature, and humidity, I felt really good. 5x4:1 run/walk. If we had more time I would have liked to keep going. Hopefully will get another run or two as the week progresses.

  18. RUN
blah PRFX Thursday night fun run 2.6 mi 00:29 11:00 pace

It was a last minute decision to go at all and then I let my ego get the best of me. Rather than do my regular thing with a warmup and some calf-love and all that, I just went and ran. Not sure why... read more

  19. FIT
    good 00:25

Stability-focused strength training. Been a while, judging by all the muscle quivering. Planks, single leg squats, single leg deadlifts and other goodness.

10 minute warm-up and 10 minute cool-down from strength training. 3.0 mph at 7% incline.
