Peachtree went way better than expected! We ran at the start, ran the downhills, and ran the end after the turn onto 10th. I did have some waddling moments on the larger uphills, with Jeremy encouraging me (a role reversal) to keep going, but I still passed people at the end and that felt good. Even though Jeremy and I walked most of it this year, and I stopped at every water station, we didn't finish much behind last year's time.
Once I got started running, I felt fine, but thinking about those first few steps felt daunting. And the pooch felt kind of sore when we stopped; my need to find a support belt is starting to get critical in order to keep running!
Might need to find a longer or larger running shirt or two- couldn't do the "arms raised in victory (and to ruin other runner's race photos)" pose without exposing the pooch.
Overall, a great race to fill out the 5k, 10k, and half marathon set this kid's already done!

Congratulations! It wasn't an easy race today given the heat and humidity!

True! Though it did seem better than predicted last night- no pop-up morning showers. :)

Congrats on your finish. 10k's are tough.
