PR by over a minute! Even beat my during-college times! (Previous PR- 29:04 in 2000.)
Started off a little fast, I thought, but remembered that the first mile has a lot of downhill, so I went with it to give myself a cushion later. And then mile 2 wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered, though mile 3 had more uphill than I thought it did, so it evened out. Partway through the downhill to the finish, I looked at my watch and realized that a high 27-something time was possible, I took off. Wish I'd looked a few seconds before, but I'm pleased as punch with 28 minutes!
Also, I loved that a gluten free bakery was there, giving out samples and information. Soooo happy to get some tasty, non-banana carbs right after the race!

It's a good one, I highly recommend it. I especially like it because it's all women, so there's not a bunch of guys passing you through the race.
