  1. greatFeeling much better 3.8 mi / 00:40 10:23 pace

Some dude in a sweet old pickup truck honked at me and flashed his lights. I'm going to put that down as points in the "hottie" column, even if the dude was my husband. Hamstrings both feel pretty good, just a little lingering soreness in th... read more

  2. Right hamstring's gone from mildly painful after sitting to fairly painful all the time, but left hammie's feeling fine now. Not sure why stretching helped one and hurt the other. Going to take another day or two off, but hope I can get at least one sh... read more

Why must our bodies keep us from doing something healthy? They don't give us pains when we eat something bad & just sit around. I feel like we should be punished when we're being lazy* , not for being active!

*besides the possibility of death if we get too overweight, it should punish us before we get to that point.

  3. Wow, my hammies are exceedingly painful. Don't think this 7-miler's going to happen today, going to stretch and get them ready for the half next week instead.

It rained most of the run, but I'd locked myself out of the house, so I figured I could stay at the house and be cold and wet or I could run and be cold and wet. Got some offers for a ride home but I politely declined. Otherwise, I was pretty spent &am... read more

Well that was nice that people offered you rides! I didn't think that happened anymore.
And thumbs up for being productive while being locked out of the house. I would've just sat there waiting. haha

The first ride offer was after the lady had nearly hit me backing out of her driveway. Maybe a little guilt-fueled?

  5. goodWalk with Neighbor & baby 2 mi

Got caught by a little rain at the end of the walk. For some reason, "Bug" preferred being held in the rain instead of having the stroller cover over him.

  6. The search is back on for a bra suitable for long distance running appropriate for a 36C. Any favorites? I have Moving Comfort's "Fiona," and am not satisfied enough with their "Helena" bra sizing to try it out.

title nine 3reasons bra or under armour- Very happy with those... Title nine rates theirs by support so easy to pick one that will hold the girls properly!

The Fiona bra is T9's 3 Reasons. I don't know why they rename them at T9 (but that's where I've been ordering them.)

  7. greatRecovery run with stroller 1.5 mi / 00:16 10:39 pace

Neighbor & I took her son with us in the jogging stroller, I had the honor of pushing him. Definitely adds another level to the workout! He chatted to himself most of the time, adding some "running" commentary. We thought it was hilarious... read more

Nice job pushing him! I haven't gotten up the courage to do that yet. Ours was a hand-me-down jogger without the leash, and I keep having visions of Camden rolling away down a hill!

Thanks! Hers is a hand-me-down, too, and the strap wasn't all that much, heck, it may have even been a repurposed strap from something else (took me a while to figure out what was hitting me in the leg). I bet you could make one. The brake on it, though, was key on downhills- thought he was going to zoom down the hill and take me with him!

Whew! Strollers are NOT light! ("Specially with kids in them!)

  8. good 12 mi / 02:35 12:53 pace

Beautiful day for running, had a cheering section when I passed the house for water at 7.5m. For how I felt when I started, I'm ok with this distance for the time, and am feeling pretty well prepared for the half marathon n 2 weeks!

    • Alex B. Alex B.

Husband pointed out that this was my longest training run ever, and longer than any of his when he did half marathons.

  9. tiredStretching run 0.9 mi

After 8 hours of gardening, my body is tired. But I wanted to get a little run in, to stretch things out. Also- sweat getting into rose-scratches doesn't feel so good.

  10. greatNight run! 2.7 mi / 00:27 10:00 pace

Out with Neighbor before the crappy weather rolls in. 100% of the 5+ runners and walkers we saw were wearing reflective vests!
