Foot update, so I got the go ahead from the doctor to start some PT and shortly thereafter to start some running. I went to my first PT session on Saturday morning - and man do I love PT. Really all this involved as the therapist doing some massage and stretching of my foot, but we get to talk while he does that. Most of the people they see are dealing with job related injuries, so even thou they do sports rehab as well, they don't get as many at this location. So I get a charge out of it when they say "we don't get many athletes to work with, and it's a nice change."
Here that....I'm an ATHLETE!
So I was feeling good, and decided to try a bit of something, nothing crazy. My younger son had a party at one of the nearby parks which is really a big one. Several square blocks, with bike paths through it. So I brought his bike and while his brother was at the party, I let my older son try out riding on the paths. I used my iPhone to track us, and we did about 2.5 miles in 46 minutes. I mostly walked, but a couple times I'd sprint ahead to make sure he didn't hit a tree when there was a sharp turn to make. I think we both did awesome.
