    great 14.6 mi 00:45 03:04 pace

First workout with the toe cages for the Elliptigo. HUGE difference! Avg speed was up almost 3mph from 16ish to 19.5mph. Plus it feels easier. I was going 15 minutes at a stretch w/o any coasting.

    good Power Hour

Back after a few weeks layoff. It was quite the sweatfest. Two rounds of squat and press on the BOSU w/ a 10lb weight, later medball throws, sport cord squats w/ single leg toe touch, leg wipers, s... read more

    great 13.03 mi 00:47 03:36 pace

Went for non-impact recovery time on the Elliptigo in lieu of a run. Plan was for 30, but felt so good I kept going until I had no choice to stop to get to work.

  6. #dailymission I find races everywhere: halfmarathons.net, RacePlace & Competitor magazines, google searches, flyers at runnin stores. I plan way far in advance. I had 10 months of races planned... read more

I'm sorry about your arch. Do you think you need to rest it more?

The doc thinks it's a ligament issue. I have an email out to the PT place where I have my power hour class. I'm hoping they might have some suggestions to help or strengthen it. It really only hurts when I hit uneven terrain so it's not just a rest thing (I think).

LOL that sounds so cool!! I heard there is a run app out there that you can download on your phone and it will make you run away from Zombies. You'll hear them coming through your headphones, and I believe you have to collect stuff by running a certain mileage. I've been meaning to look into that.. now your post reminded me of that again.

The zombie app isn't out yet, other than for beta testers. The game is url: https://www.zombiesrungame.com/ I've been waiting for this one too! I've got an android phone, so it'll be a longer wait. iPhone version coming out first. Android version a few months later.

great Carlsbad Half! 13.1 mi 02:52 13:07 pace

Official time/distance. Longer race report coming, but rocked it. Not a PR or anything, but it was a solid, negative splits race. Extremely happy!

This the outdoor equipment? If so, I'm impressed. Those things look hard to pedal.

Thanks for the thoughts about my cat. She's doing better now. @Anne the Elliptigo is an outdoor elliptical bike, which I happen to have in a trainer in my living room atm. It was pretty easy to learn to ride and isn't too hard to pedal (it's an 8speed), except for up some hills. I need more hill practice on it.
