I love that the run immediately after a shitty one is nearly guaranteed to kick ass. Humid but cool weather and a stocked fuel belt removed any external excuses, so I just ran. Didn't have to force myself to take the first half easy - that came naturally after yesterday's crash - but I did focus on keeping the second half pace under the first half. Not a monster negative split, but a negative split. And perhaps my first in a while - I'd stopped keeping track. Since I was feeling pretty good (tired, but good), I decided to kick out the last couple hundred yards pretty hard. Good stuff. I NEEDED this.
