4 Easy - Sauc 2 - Sometimes the "Easy" runs are harder to push through than the long runs or hill runs. THAT is irony. Calves and FEET still stiff/SORE from Sunday's 18. That said, still couldn't slow the first mile down. Wanted to run the dogs 2 miles each, but ran out of time. Oh, also, had a lousy nigt of sleep. Revving up for tomorrow - the first set of Yasso800s of this training set. Yikes. Beautiful morning, so there's that.

Nice run today and good luck on the Yassos tomorrow!

dude, I hear you on the easy runs sometimes being harder than the long or "hard" runs! I switched Monday's recovery run to Thursday because I was pretty sure I wasn't going to be able to deal with it (more of a mental thing than anything) and yet yesterday's intervals were A-OK! WEIRD how training works sometimes!

As someone elsewhere said, we need the crummy ("shitty" doesn't work well here - or works too well) runs to remind us how good the great runs are. I used to think of my Tuesday/Friday "Easy" runs as warm-up or lead-in to the Wednesday/Weekend hard work, but I'm starting to flip that. They're more of a 'reset' after the previous ass-kick.
