Cycling is fun; I'm still a runner at heart. The whole triathlon thing is my chance to pretend I'm Batman. Bright colors and fast machines released to save the day.

Peter ran 6.15 miles greatDad-Son Run – 6.15 mi
Time didn't matter for this one - it was all about bonding time with the family. Walked to the park at my son's school, then he decided to ride his bike with me while I ran for the first time. We wound up doing a nice, easy 5.15 miles, and he was so ex... read more

I must admit to being a fan of both Brooks and loudly colored shoes - I want these colors on the Green Silence! This pic is from the Runner's World forum here: http://bit.ly/bvzNHT.

I had about 20 minutes to get a run in at the end of the workday today - usually I would have bagged it, but decided fast 2 miles was better than none, or even 3-4 at a much slower pace. Trying to force myself out of the mindset that mileage is all tha... read more

Hi. Nice post. I tried to comment and got this message: "You are posting comments too quickly. Slow down." Not sure what that means?

I remember when my kids werre younger and I would lie down to read a book with them and would often fall asleep with them because of the hectic pace of the day. I still remember those days. Great work today and nice to get bonus points with a quick 45 'nap'.

Although I'm not Irish, I'm honored to be the inspiration for the St. Patrick's Day @dailymile challenge!: http://bit.ly/9NmkVb. Naturally, it involves sleeping! Thanks to Thomas N. and RTR for setting this up!

Michael - can't take credit for this one - it was Thomas N., the "challenge coordinator" and a graphics expert. I do make extensive use of digital imaging in my line of work as well though!

about 7 hours agoNo, I generally don't have cramping issues related to eating before a run. However, I know some people who need to eat well before they run or it causes problems. Guess I'm lucky in that!
