    Decided to walk it out but then ran the last .3. Calf felt much better after the walk than when I tried to run prior to walking.

    Was that a struggle or what? I notice two things: 1. I struggle when I run in the afternoons and 2. The 3mile run after a long run (being my 8 miles a few days ago) is a killer.
