Low tide beach run! It was pretty cold starting out and I just kept thinking how crazy all the surfers were and then I looked at our group of a hundred or so runners running along the beach at the butt crack on a Saturday. Now who's the crazy one?? Haha. The run on the beach was followed by some pretty big hills. Were are all the cabs when I needed them??!

I forgot my Garmin and almost had a nervous breakdown on the way there but it was actually nice not being able to check my speed and distance every minute! Also - I wore a new pair of Nike Capri's and I LOVED them. Very happy with my purchase.

I loved this run when I was with the RnR program. That downhill near Scripps Pier is as intense as the uphill in Torrey Pines. Nice job completing both (and without your Garmin).

Thanks! That Torrey Pines hill was tough. I didn't think it would end! And then I got excited for the downhill but you're right it was intense. My knees were definitely feeling it.

Should you have done your "naked" run at Black's Beach? ;)

Congrats on a great run!! Sometimes, it's freeing to run without the Garmin!
