Way to hang in there! Congrats to Mike! Get to looking for another state girl or look for one close by. I think Deb had mentioned September 29th right? There are 1/2 marathons every month as we know from my experience last year. I know there is one that starts at Day's Dam on Father's Day usually. It's mostly on trails though...

I think I'm fully recovered, but my today's run wasn't easy so maybe I'm not as recovered as I thought!! Sounds like your all better? I still plan to do 11 miles in 2 hours or less this weekend

It was pretty warm today so that could have had something to do with the run being rough. I feel pretty good after my massage on Tuesday. Still have a few little twinges here and there but overall I feel good! You can do 11 in under 2!

that's funny, guess a girl can dream... actually was playing around with the time, trying to estimate how much time the walking cost me, I think my "running" part was about 9:45... but I just can't keep that up especially in this heat... thanks for pointing it out, that would be a tough PR

Fill up dixie cups with water and freeze them. "massage your shins" with the ice cups. As the ice melts just tear off part of the dixie cup to get more ice. How old are you shoes? If they have a lot of miles on them that could be causing some of the pain. Also take out your compression sleeves and wear them and see if that helps. Even if you wear them around the house after the run they may help you. Either way nice run today in this gorgeous weather!!
