Decided to take my run to Alki. Run/Walk was keeping pretty good track of this until the Garmin died at mile one. So switched to Runkeeper on I-Phone which is OK in a pinch but generally off it looses signal sometimes and I have found the mileage to be off. The run was OK did not feel knee pain just heavy legs. Ran fast in my running segments and I pretty much ran when I wanted and walked when I wanted so it was a split interval run. I need to relax a bit more in the run and stop being concerned about an ache that lasts 10 sec. Still enjoyable got the salt from the sound on my face..I so missed that. My hips are aching but not the knees so all is good. It was not as easy as I thought it would be today. But in looking at the week a little over 9 of my miles this week were Running Miles so the longest running miles in a week since December.

    which Garmin do you have? Mine tends to die at the most inopportune times. I love it when it works though.

    Julie I have the Garmin Forerunner 305. It beats my Polar except for pool stuff..the polar is waterproof and works really good for that. I think I left it on last time I used it while I was in my pool half marathon so that drained the battery. When I turned it on the battery said low so I knew I only had a little bit of life. Oh well I know the rout by heart distance wise just would have liked the HR and pace info.

    Barb thanks for sharing..I have done some of those but also some new ones I can try..Since alot of stuff is out I have to mix it up.
