@Kent. Shark rock because it bit me while I was watching a shark as well as being very sharp. My fault really, I should've been focusing on running rather than taking a gander. Bit bruised but will see how I go once I do a warm up.

  4. RUN
Local Loop + Intervals 13 km

Head not in the right space today so pulled the plug after 8 x 800m intervals rather than the usual 10. Times all over the place.

Glad the ankle held up. I know what you mean about being in the wrong head space. Maybe try intervals tomorrow or just a easy day instead?

@Kent. I'll take it easy today. Running back to back intervals is a recipe for injury in my experience.

Did you play in the rain or did you miss out? I guess it's still muddy underfoot so no real difference.

No rain and track was surprisingly drier. Nice afternoon for a run. Took is easy with slight DOMS from yesterday's hills which I haven't had for a long time. Hopefully a good sign - although I may have pushed a little hard.

@Chris & @Alison. Thanks. The first couple of repeats, I always doubt I'll be able to finish the set. I keep plugging away and always get there. I actually got faster on each repeat this time, so hopefully doing something right.

Good thing about mud is you cant push the pace or your risk tripping. Great for just running in the moment and going with the flow.

When you carbo load it is not supposed to be so close to the run ;) I like how you got 3 hrs of running in on a Friday arvo. I'm not sure I'll ever do that.
