Howdy, all. A quick read tells me that everyone is still as great as ever. Yep, I'm still runnin'! I've just been doing it offline...
I heard there was a request for a for a wildlife report and based on the past two weeks, I think it's time...
Sunday (9/20): Came right up on my first-ever javalina in LC. It stood as tall as a labrador and stared at me from ten feet away before crashing off into the brush.
Saturday (9/26): Running along Hwy 28 in the early morning darkness and heard a deep, resonating hoot on my right. I stopped and went in the direction I heard it with my flashlight and saw a HUGE (18-24in tall) great horned owl sitting on a power line above my head. He looked straight at me, sized me up for breakfast, and took off into the trees in search of better purchase.
