    River Trail & Streets 5.04 mi 01:02 12:18 pace

Run 3 min, walk 1; got in a little brain training along with the physical effort. Positive run.

Runs take more mental effort in this humidity & heat! Nice 5-miler!

  3. RUN
    Streets 2.5 mi 00:30 12:00 pace

Basically intervals/fartlek with run 3 min (aiming for 9:00 min pace) & walk 1 min; some hills. Nothing fancy

    • Jay T.

Maybe not fancy but effective! Great job!

  4. RUN
good Streets from the Y 4.57 mi 00:58 12:41 pace

80 degrees this morning felt great compared to 100 yesterday. Just an easy-going jog to enjoy the morning.

  5. RUN
    Cameron Park & Streets 6.25 mi 01:24 13:26 pace

Noon run/walk. Not too bad on shady trails. Streets were baking & are where the walking came in handy. No doubt running early is better.

    • Jay T.

Nice job out there Ned! That run/walk sure helps in the heat on those longer distances!

Missed running with you this weekend, Dad! Sounds like you had a good run, despite the heat. :)

The Best Dam Run 3.1 mi 00:28 09:07 pace

Training 5K, but with the all-important t-shirt :). Flat, hot, no breeze. Nice!

Hills & Dales at Cameron 4.08 mi 00:47 11:31 pace

Yessiree, that .08 counts today. Worked on relaxing and being happy on NRD!

  8. RUN
    Baylor Campus-Cameron Park 8.78 mi 01:44 11:50 pace

Easy pleasant run for fun and endurance; think I got both.

  9. RUN
    Town Lake 5 mi 00:58 11:35 pace

There are better ways to start a run. Got in from LSU and in bed at 2am and didn't hit the trail until 10:45. Good run overall.

  10. RUN
    LSU Campus 8.5 mi 01:40 11:45 pace

Started brisk and finished slow as heat and humidity climbed steadily. Nice running tour of LSU campus, though. GO TIGERS! esp Rebekah P.

  11. RUN
    Cameron Park 7.06 mi 01:22 11:36 pace

A weather acclimating run. Hot (one source claimed 100) & humid with very little breeze. Still enjoyable, though. Remembered to go by effort, not pace.

  12. RUN
    Dam Run 4.5 mi 00:52 11:33 pace

Across Lake Waco Dam & through park at 6am; Felt good but still a shakeout run after Sunday.

    • Jay T.

Know what you mean, takes me a little longer to recover from races or hard workouts these days! Nice job easing back into it!

  13. RUN
Down by the Brazos ... 5.5 mi 58:00

Easy, light & smooth ... mostly. Like everyone else, high humidity factored in. Starting & ending at the place you're going to eat is alright, even in Huaco!

  14. RUN
    Long-ish Run 11.4 mi 02:08 11:13 pace

Always crave running in Austin, so many routes, so little time; but the run up Congress, San Jacinto, Duval and back through UT was just right and ended right with Rebekah P. Sarah L. and Michael L... read more

  16. RUN
good Airport Park 7.4 mi 01:30 12:09 pace

Shake-out run - out the door to Airport Park and back. Enjoyable all the way - scenery, breeze, feeling good.

  17. RUN
    DRC White Rock 1/2 13.2 mi 02:18 10:27 pace

Started strong (there's that crowd energy again!) and stayed on target for my 2:15 goal until about mile 10 and had an energy fade until 11.5. Guilty of a little 2nd guessing, but looking forw... read more

  18. RUN
    University & Cameron Parks 3.1 mi 00:37 11:51 pace

Less than the run I intended (plan changed to keep pace with a fellow runner); but it worked for the best considering my upcoming 1/2 on Sat. Taking the next 2 days off

  19. RUN
    The Hood 4.48 mi 00:52 11:36 pace

Pre-dawn run. Just what I needed. Watching the day break and feeling great.

  20. RUN
    good Trials & HIlls 7.37 mi 01:30 12:12 pace

Trails to loosen up after yesterday's 10K. To run for 1:30 was the goal. Easy-smooth-light was the mantra. Directionless and timeless were the built-ins. They worked: felt great all the way.
