on fri. my mom called, "honey, i know it has been tough to train in between being sick and all the bad weather..but, even if you don't run the Shamrock you can still come visit"!!!! that simple statement lit the fire. time to saddle up cowboy. hit the trails again today, bonked hard at mile 8, ran into Harriet and her friend at mile 10, passed off the dog on them and used the surge of seeing female beauty to finish strong. two double digit days in a row and my body is buzzing with excitement again! thanks mom!

Good job Brian. Just stick one long run in then one simulation run and you will do fine. GO VERY SLOW on the long run and make the simulation run around 14-16 miles. include a 2 week tapper and your set. Don't tapper too much tapper just means you do not do your long runs or speed workouts but keep your daily mileage.
