Well that's good. Must have been the F Bombs! Perhaps your knee was reacting to the humidity earlier in the week? Niggles can be sneaky like that! Great job!

Had a few niggles in my knee (obviously spoke too soon yesterday). On the plus side it was cooler than yesterday with some light rain.

Well, crap, on the knee front. Hope that resolves quickly! Glad to hear about the cooler - here, too, thank goodness!

That's a real bummer Nadine! Maybe you tried to much too soon? Hopefully only a minor setback that a day or 2 of rest will sort it out?

I'm not sure Jo, I had experienced a sharp pain across my knee as I climbed up onto a step ladder, don't know if it's a new problem or a worsening of the original one. It's been 2 weeks since I saw the Dr, it it's not better soon then I'll go back. Thanks for the support girls, I'll continue with the effing and blinding :)

Same route as Saturday, felt much better today and had no knee pain! yippee

  13. RUN
    2.58 mi 00:23 08:47 pace

Saturday's short run to test my knee......felt the familiar ache after a mile but what was worse was my lack of fitness (may have had something to do with over consumption of wine) ;-)

  14. RUN
    2.5 mi 00:20 08:00 pace

First run since the Marathon, only 2.5 on the treadmill and unfortunately I had pain in my knee the whole time :(

  15. RUN
    Brighton Marathon 26.44 mi 04:19 09:46 pace

Not a perfect way to start a marathon, with an injury, and it was from far the perfect run but I finished it and that was the main thing. The first 11 miles went fine, then the temperature went up... read more

Thank you Jo! I am really keen to sign up for another one, although I'm not sure when I will be able to run again. Hopefully it won't be too long or I may become unbearable to live with ;-)
That's a shame Munich is the other end of the country, I'm not sure about the coffee but I hear they have good beer...lol
