    Beach run 8.05 mi 01:08 08:23 pace

First run of our trip was a nice run along Pineda Beach. Into the wind on the way out, wind at my back on the way back in. I would've run longer, but I didn't want to miss out on too mu... read more

  2. RUN
    Snuck in a double 4.05 mi 00:36 08:47 pace

Got home early to pack for our roadtrip and decided to double up for the day, which I hardly ever get to do.

  3. RUN
    Pre-Road Trip Run 7.05 mi 01:01 08:43 pace

Got an 8 hour drive after dinner tonight, so I decided to get a little extra sleep this morning and only ran 7 instead of 10 or so.

  4. RUN
10 Miler Around the Neighborhood 10.07 mi 01:26 08:33 pace

Glad I didn't have to wait so long this week to zap the zero! I wasn't keen on running on deserted city streets this morning, so I stuck to long loops around the neighborhood to get in t... read more

Nice 10! It's tough to see the calendar on DM roll forward and setting our count back to 0 each week!

Nice ten miler! I too am a bit bummed out about the Monday morning goose egg here on DM, but my legs are usually too trashed out by the Sunday long run to do anything about it.

Run and Brunch 13.09 mi 01:45 08:02 pace

13 mi progression this morning (which gave me a decent 25 for the weekend after a slow start to the week thanks to that stomach bug). Then I went a little overboard at brunch at Marlow's. Th... read more

Tire Rotation Run 12.16 mi 01:38 08:05 pace

I dropped DW's car off to get the tires rotated on Saturday morning. Rather than sit in the lounge and wait for it, I got in a nice 12 mi of rolling hills. Lots of long uphills should be goo... read more

Damn alarm clock 6.15 mi 00:52 08:24 pace

Overslept, so I only had time for 6. So much for making up for lost time earlier in the week. I know there's not really any mileage to make up, since I'm off plan, but not running more ma... read more

If you had the stomach flu or food poisoning, I doubt your weight is creeping up. Good job getting something in this morning. It looks like a nice 6-mile run to me.

Ease back into your distance. No need to stress your body when you don't really need the extra miles. Of course, I should practice what I preach.

Easter Progression Run 10.25 mi 01:24 08:10 pace

First run in awhile that felt like a slog. Guess it's good that it wasn't a key workout. Got the miles in, so that's what counts.

  11. RUN
    More trails 9.55 mi 01:23 08:39 pace

Had the chance to go back to KeMo again this afternoon, so I knocked out some miles on the Kolb Farm and Cheatham Hill trails. Great weather out there today!

GREAT attitude! Just like you, I plan to start focusing on Peachtree as soon as I recover from the Berry Half. I'm probably going to run the Silver Comet Half this year as a tune-up for the Savannah Marathon. I promise you will earn an amazing PR on the Silver Comet!! It's flat, shaded, and much less crowded. If you ever want to do a long, slow (for you) training run out here, you know where to find me!

Nah, I've done 26.23 on the trail as a training run! However, I agree that R is so used to hills that it would definitely be good to do 2-3 LRs on the flat trail to see how it feels. There is a tiny bit of curve as you get further out, at least.
