Love this. Not all who need health care are fat and lazy, but if the obesity epidemic continues as projected with 75% of adults overweight (41% falling into obese and morbidly obese) by 2015, there's no way the US can expect to sustain the cost of the new health care model. Chronic weight related illnesses will bankrupt the system leaving everyone in hot water.

The issue would be what foods are considered healthy. Most folks I know think whole grains are good for them, but the history of heart disease, diabetes and obesity suggests the problem is the very "healthy" whole grains (actually, any grains) and vegetable oils that are in everything people eat. There was no obesity epidemic when we primarily subsisted on unpasteurized whole milk, eggs, butter, meats, vegetables, fruits and berries:
