PF bugging me and showing no improvement after a mile plus achilles was getting very tight so I bailed on this one. Jog back home became Robyn's mile.

    I was in your exact same PF and Achilles pain boat (that boat SUCKS, btw) about a month before my first marathon. I got some Tuina (massage that's part of TCM), and though it hurt like HELL, after about 4 twice-weekly sessions, it cleared it up completely. I looked a bit for you, and there are several Tuina therapists in Memphis. Might be worth a shot. Anyway, really sorry you're hurting.

    That sux Jeff. Bucket of cold water (3 inches higher than your ankle), add ice as the water warms from body heat, 20minutes, 3 times a day - also rolling your foot on a frozen plastic bottle of water (3/4 full!!) - can all help with PF - Good luck
