I think taper madness is getting to me. I hope that's what it is. My left leg did not feel as tight as it has the last couple days, thanks to a lot of strectching and some Motrin on Monday night, but my left foot was KILLING me and my left knee/leg was hurting. Also, my right achilles was bothering me. Luckily, it all went away by Mile 2. But, uugh! It was also COLD (28 degrees) albeit sunny, so I think I was just suffering the 1st mile or so. I'm just ready for the race to be here!


I had to go through my little aches too,our bodies got use to high mileage and are healing,we'll be fine come Sunday!!!! This is my 2nd one so I wasn't AS shocked this time.

How'd you feel going into Chicago?

@Billy well, thanks to dailymile, I went back and checked, it looks like the week before Chicago, I was just having some achilles problems, nothing seriousl though. I know it's 65% in my head and the rest are just aches and pains that will go away. One more run before Sunday! :)
