Set out for 11 miles and called it quits after 5. I haven't felt good running in a long time and I wonder why I'm even still considering doing the half in November. I hurt and I'm not motivated to do it.

Everyone has off runs and days and even weeks/months--you're a great runner even if you've been hurting lately! This stupid surprise return of summer heat/humidity doesn't help either. I believe in you 200%, but that said, it's not a bad idea to listen to your body if it's asking for a break.

It is mid September so you still have time . Use this run as a recovery week. Tomorrow is a new day!

Remember you run for fun, November is a long way off, take some time off and think about why you run not because you have to.

One of those days :( Wait for a moment when you're itching to run - it will come.
